Concord Farmers' Club records, 1852-1883.

Series Bound volumes contains material dating from 1852 to 1883, including ms. minutes of meetings, constitution (printed and ms.), clippings, ms. transcripts of essays read at meetings, committee reports, programs for meetings (ms. and printed), ms. indexes of subjects covered within volumes, and ms. lists of members. Series Manuscript essays includes essays 1854-1882 and many undated by some 45 members. There are a significant number of essays (five or more) by H.T. Brown, H.F. French, M. Houghton, C.A. Hubbard, H.W. Jones. (Cont.) J.S. Keyes, F.G. Pratt (among Pratt's essays a history of the club), Minot Pratt, A.B. Warren, G.F. Wheeler, and E. Wood, Jr. There are a smaller number of essays by prominent members Simon Brown, E.W. Bull, E.C. Damon, J.B. Moore, and Joseph Reynolds. Series Printed programs contains listings for most years 1855-1883 (each listing including date of meeting, member at whose house held, and topic for discussion). Series Clippings includes dated (1854-1872) and undated loose clippings (most containing texts of essays).
