Letters to Manuel Fernández de Jáuregui and others, 1853-1870 (bulk 1866-1869)

Letters to Juan Manuel Fernández de Jáuregui and to his nephew, Manuel Fernández de Jáuregui, and other individuals. Letters to the elder Fernández de Jáuregui consist of two letters from Marcelino Valderpino relating to Fernández de Jáuregui's 1853 appointment as Administrador General de las Parcialidades and the ordering of financial records for his assumption of responsibility, and one from the treasurer of the Sociedad de Beneficencia regarding schools in the parcialidades. The bulk of the letters are to the younger Fernández de Jáuregui and are primarily from his mother, Guadalupe Llaca; others are from Luís G. Jimenez, apparently Manuel's stepfather, and Manuel's brother, Rosario Fernández de Jáuregui. The letters contain information on family affairs and advice to Manuel. Of four letters addressed to neither Fernández de Jáuregui, two are from Guadalupe Llaca to an unidentified cousin and two are from José M. Aguirre de la Barrera to Adolfo Cagigas about repayment of debts. A two-leaf document entitled, "Diario de A.C.A." details the progress of a romance from November 1868 to January 1870.
