This series documents Governor Graham's "One-on-One" meetings with department heads from 1978 to 1986. Included in these records are the Governor's meetings with the heads of those departments directly under his control (non-cabinet departments). The two major types of files are one-on-one meeting files and active or inactive files. The meeting files contain the agenda for specific meetings between the governor and agency head, along with correspondence and supporting documents. The active and inactive files contain copies of recent or upcoming one-on-one meeting files, along with supporting materials such as correspondence, memoranda, and reports.

Daniel Robert (Bob) Graham was born in 1936 in Coral Gables, Florida. He began a long career in politics by serving in the Florida House of Representatives in 1966 and in the Florida Senate from 1970 to 1978. He became the thirty-eighth governor in 1979 and served in that office until 1987. Graham was then elected to the United States Senate and reelected again in 1994. Daniel Robert "Bob" Graham was the thirty-eighth Governor of Florida, serving from January 2, 1979 to January 3, 1987. Graham was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1966 and then to the State Senate in 1970. Serving two terms as Governor, Graham dealt with the influx of Cuban and Haitian refugees, supported Florida's reintroduction of the death penalty, and introduced environmental legislation to save Florida's water resources.
