In this leather bound volume Power brings together material related to the Precept of John Stafford, Archbishop of Canterbury, forbidding barber surgeons to practice on Sundays, and to the history of barber surgeons in England. Additional material consists of two ALS and a horoscope by Charles Bernard, barber surgeon; one ALS from John Hunter; and a bond issued by Joshua Ellington to the Barber Surgeons Company.
