Newspaper clippings, original poetic drafts and illustrations, miscellaneous longhand drafts, and two copies of Fred Lambert's book: Bygone days of the Old West. Articles and his contributions to other literatry works are organized chronologically; some correspondence included. Also included are three books that Fred Lambert contributed to either artistically or through oral tradition: A Cowboy detective, New Mexico; a guide to the colorful state, and The Longhorns.

Fred Lambert (1887-1971) was an author of Western history and poetry. He was born in Cimarron, New Mexico, and spent most of his life there.
