Letter : Columbia, S.C., to Joseph I. Waring, Charleston, S.C., 1922 Nov. 23.

Letter concerns information from newspaper advertisements of 1803 about shipments of slaves from Africa, some of whom were called "Gullah" negroes. Gonzales speculates that the word "Gullah" was a corruption of "Angola."
