Correspondence concerning the family of O.T. Porcher, 1877.

The subject of the correspondence is the destitute condition of the widow and orphaned children of the late Rev. O.T. Porcher and the efforts to secure relief for the family. Correspondence consists of letters to E. Horry Frost (treasurer of the "Clergy Society, S.C.") from W.H. Parker and Bishop W.B.W. Howe, and a letter (1877 May 14) from Bishop Howe to W.H. Parker. One letter (1877 May 29) from Parker to Frost is a formal application to the Clergy Society for assistance for the Porcher family.
