Correspondence between Stoney and Henry P. Kendall (of Kendall Cotton Mills, Camden, S.C.), Victor C. Barringer (president of the Sumter County Historical Society), Slann L.C. Simmons, and others concerns administrative and archival affairs of the South Carolina Historical Society. Clippings mainly concern the South Carolina Historical Society. Miscellaneous items include speech notes (1957, on 3 x 5 cards), typewritten minutes (1956) of a meeting of the Board of Managers of the South Carolina Historical Society, and a copy of a pamphlet (ca. 1950, with corrections) entitled "Historic Charleston."
