Choreographic notes for some of the dances choreographed by Twyla Tharp. The collection includes Tharp's notes, conceptual and/or descriptive notes, rehearsal notes, descriptions of movements, floor patterns, movement ideas, research materials such as articles, xeroxes from different books, rehearsal schedules, scripts/scenarios, some of them with Twyla's annotations and notes. Included also in the collection are notes and research done for apparently unfinished projects.

Twyla Tharp is American modern dancer and choreographer. She was born 1 July 1941 in Portland, Indiana and grew up in Rialto, California. She attended Pomona College and received the Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College in 1963. As a child she studied ballet, tap, flamenco, baron twirling, acrobatics, and several musical instruments.
