Adams, are also represented by deeds and miscellaneous financial and legal papers. With these papers are a few items pertinent to the family of Isaac A. Goddin, a white notary public and land agent of Richmond, Va. Miscellaneous items of interest include an 1845 indenture for the sale of property held in trust for the children of a Richmond "free woman of color," commencement programs, 1888 and 1889, from the Richmond Normal School, and a printed protest, 1899, regarding a religious dispute at the Virginia Baptist State Convention.
