Papers of Warren Chappell, 1931-1971.

The collection contains mock-ups of four books illustrated by Chappell: Story Book; Morley's Illustrated Volume 3 Tales of the East; The Yarn of the Nancy Bell (with 2 separate illustrations); and an untitled book for children; together with a mock-up of a fold-out peep show for "The World of Tomorrow, New York World's Fair." With these are a notebook on bookbinding kept by Lydia Chappell; a letter, 1931, from Lydia Chappell to Nancy Buxton re life in Germany and a letter, 1971, to Warren Chappell re a book of poems and Bert Clarke.
