The collection contains photocopies of three published speeches: A Baccalaureate Address, Delivered Before the Senior Class, Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, July 8th, 1840 (Philadelphia: T.K. and P.G. Collins, 1840); Tendencies of the Age to Peace, an Address Delivered Before the American Peace Society, at Its Twenty-sixth Anniversary in Boston, May 29, 1854 (Boston: American Peace Society, 1854); and, Our Country's Mission in History, an Address Delivered at the Anniversary of the Philomathaean Society of Pennsylvania College, September 19, 1855 (Philadelphia: T.K. and P.G. Collins, 1855). Also, includes photocopied notes of Professor Allen's Lectures on Natural Science, as taken by Robert L. Dashiell, Dickinson College, 1845-1846.
