Siam (Ship) logbook, 1851-1852.

The logbook of the ship Siam details a shipping voyage from Boston, MA, to Penang, Malaysia (June 1851 to Oct 1851), Penang to Hong Kong (Nov 1851 to Jan 1852), and Manila to Boston (Feb 1852 to Jun 1852). The ship's home port was Salem; the owner was Tucker Daland; the master was Edward P. Ring; the logbook keeper was William Townes of Salem. Includes one entry at end by Chas. Lord of Salem for ship Magnolia from Chincha Islands to New York dated 1854. Front end paper decorated with ink drawing of clipper ship signed by Charles Lord.
