The Houghton Bulkeley papers consist primarily of Bulkeley's research into Connecticut furniture and cabinetmakers. Two of the boxes contain correspondence regarding these craftsmen. The container is filled with note cards on the same topic. There are many photographs within the collection; they may be found in all the boxes, but the first box is entirely photograph albums (and a statuette of Nathan Hale). A miscellaneous box contains correspondence and photographs sent to Bulkeley, as well as letters to Mrs. J.M. Kelso Davis and letters to Bulkeley's wife, Virginia ("Ginny"). An additional item of interest is a "Terry Clock Chronology". This was compiled by Barrows Mussey and Ruth Mary Ganedy for Charles Terry Treadway of Bristol, Connecticut, in 1948.
