Detroit attorney. William A. Moore was a native of New York who came to Michigan and was admitted to the bar in 1853. He attained success as a lawyer and was interested in a variety of civic and private activities. He also served as president of the Detroit Fire and Marine Insurance Company, and was part owner of the steamboat City of Toledo.
