Correspondence of William O. Scroggs consists of a friendly letter of salutation from retired professor James E. Winston, who invites Scroggs to dinner; a letter from a Doubleday representative concerning the renewal of copyright for one of Scroggs' books; and two handwritten drafts of letters by Scroggs concerning new editions of his textbooks on Louisiana history and the editorship of the Louisiana Historical Quarterly. A note concerning the cancellation of a life insurance policy is also included.
