Handscript copy of Velina A. Williams' diary (1853), supplemented by reminiscences (1919) contributed by her nephew Orson A. Stearns, concerning the Stearns family's overland trek from Freeport, Illinois (April 5, 1853) to Klamath Lake, Oregon (September 30, 1853); Stearns account expands on the entries in Williams' original diary, which were illegible in parts.
