Ben Stahl (born Philadelphia, December 22, 1915; died Philadelphia, October 25, 1998) majored in history at Temple University (B.A., 1936) and then taught in the Works Progress Administration Workers' Education Program. He was a field representative for the CIO (1943-1955) and the merged AFL-CIO (1955-1969) and in that capacity directed the effort that achieved collective bargaining rights for the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers and School Cafeteria Workers (1962-1965).
