Correspondents: Philip Carr, [Sir] Archibald Flower and Malcolm Watson. In letter (1) to Carr, Hardy answers that he does not want to be involved in a petition for a national Shakespeare theatre. (2-3) discuss Hardy's offer to copy his 1916 verses to Shakespeare to aid the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre.
