Letter from Thomas W. Sherman to his aide-de-camp, Captain Adam Badeau. Writing from New Orleans, La., Sherman instructs Badeau to transport federal refugees from New Orleans to Madisonville, St. Tammany Parish, on the schooner "Experiment" under a flag of truce.
