Research notes taken by Nelson R. Burr as he compiled a biography of James Dixon, U.S. Representative from Connecticut 1st District, 1845-49; member of Connecticut state senate 1st District, 1849, 1854; U.S. Senator from Connecticut, 1857-69. Dixon was also an Episcopalian clergyman and abolitionist. Contains photographs.
