Brent describes his attendance at McKinley High School, including a typical day, the role of academics and the importance of sports, influential teachers and coaches, and his participation in basketball, track, and band. He briefly discusses contentions between African Americans from different areas of Baton Rouge. He also speaks on the influence of McKinley High School and McKinley graduates on Baton Rouge and changes that have occurred at the school since his graduation.
