Niantic Bridge collection, 1820-1827.

Deposition (1820 Apr. 29) of Benajah Gardner, Waterford, Conn., as to the soundness of Niantic Bridge; petition to the General Assembly, May session, 1824, by the Town of Waterford, Charles Avery, agent, that Niantic River Bridge (also then known as Rope Ferry Bridge, New London County), built 1795, has been allowed to deteriorate, which in 1815 was sold to Nathaniel Canada and is now in bad condition; warrant to summon the Niantic Bridge Co., to appear before the General Assembly, Jonathan and Jared Starr to testify to the General Assembly (May 1824), about building the bridge and selling it to Canada, and their answers to questions asked of them; settlement by arbitrators (1827 Oct. 20) as to the price paid Samuel Green, New London, by Robert Brown, Waterford, for 1/4 share in the bridge and to William Noyes, Lyme, for Brown for one quarter share in the bridge; and page of accounts (undated) against Robert Brown.
