Lloyd Gray papers, ca. 1930s-1996.

The Lloyd Gray Collection consists of 110 black-and-white photographs, 13 color photographs, 143 black-and-white photographic negatives, 13 postcards, and 116 35mm photographic transparencies. Also included are log books, newsclippings, correspondence, memorabilia and ephemera. Images in the collection include work done on the Alaska Highway by the Okes Construction Company, scenes from Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Eielson Air Force Base, Fort Saint John, and the Fairbanks campus of the University of Alaska. The collection also includes Gray's flight log books, records of the work done on aircraft, and newsclippings about Gray's fellow workers. Notable documents include correspondence from Fairbanks residents, the bulk of which came from Gray's niece, Mary Ames, who resided in Fairbanks, Alaska, and other areas in Alaska and describe her life trapping, homesteading and flying planes from the mid 1980s to mid 1990s.
