Files of Charles E. Doell, who served as Secretary of the Board of Minneapolis Park Commissioners for thirty years and as Superintendent of Parks from 1945 through his 1959 retirement. At that time, he completed 48 years of continuous service with the Minneapolis Park Commission starting in 1916 as a draftsman and moving through assistant engineer, assistant to the secretary, secretary and assistant superintendent, and superintendent. He also served as President of the American Institute of Park Executives [AIPE] in 1947.
