Informal transportation proceedings ("G" files), 1907-1950.

These files appear to comprise requests that the Commission acted upon without conducting a formal hearing or other proceedings. They consist of letters, sometimes with supporting material, asking the Commission to approve changes to minimum weights, shipping rates, descriptions or classifications of goods, and similar matters relating to freight and tariffs, accompanied by the Commission's response approving (usually) or denying the request. The files are a sample, for the years 1907, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940-1950, extracted at an unknown time, presumably by Commission staff.
