The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam. Spokane, Columbia and Western Railway Company.

Incorporated in 1908 under the laws of the state of Washington, the company purposed to construct and operate electric railroads connecting Spokane with other cities and villages in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and British Columbia. The company, however, did not build a railroad line but did own surveys from Spokane to the mouth of the Spokane River. It also owned an interest in the Klaxta landing at the mouth of the Spokane River as well as small pieces of right of way along its surveyed route. ...
