Background and working files of the Council for Corporate Review which was organized in 1970 to "broaden effective public participation in the decision-making processes of Minnesota corporations." This was to be accomplished by encouraging more public representation at board meetings and at stockholders' meetings. The papers include some correspondence, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, printed and mimeographed materials, reports, legislative bills, and similar data documenting the Council's activities. Also included are records detailing organized religion's work with the Council in furthering its objectives, and the Council's ties with similar groups throughout the nation.
