Records of the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission, formed in 1969 under a Joint Powers Agreement of the Hennepin County municipalities of Crystal, Golden Valley, Medicine Lake, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale, and St. Louis Park, to provide for cooperation in the investigation, planning, and implementation of flood control measures in the Bassett Creek watershed. Included are a copy of the commission's newsletter (1977), and reports (1976-1979) by the Army Corps of Engineers and Barr Engineering Company, Minneapolis, concerning flood control and water quality. Sometime prior to 2000, the name was changed to the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission.
