Gustav and Johan Johnson and family papers, undated and 1888-1903, 1935.

Letters in Swedish by members of the Johnson (also Janson/Jansen) family and related families who emigrated to the United States sent to family and friends in Sweden; letters from persons in Sweden to the emigrants in the United States; and letters between family members in Minnesota. Most of the letters date from 1888 to 1899, with a few letters from 1903 and 1935. There are also a few miscellaneous items, such as receipts and notes. Accompanied by notes on and summary translations of many of the letters by translator, Charles John LaVine.
