A typed, 9-page reminiscence that documents the Korean War experiences of an enlisted infantryman. Written some forty years after the war, the reminiscence describes his "first night on the line," sniper attacks, patrols, C rations, squad casualties, combat fatigue, and other memories of the Battle for Heartbreak Ridge (Sept. 5-23, 1951). The narrative also describes the survivor's guilt that Marquart experienced after the war.
