A Grand Portage story and some other tales from the North Country, 1963.

Reminiscences (typewritten copy) by Dewey Albinson, a Minnesota artist, of his experience in the Grand Portage area in the 1920s-1940s. He describes the Ojibwe Indians, inhabitants of the region, Indian legends, Grand Portage and other sites in the region, and the changes made in the area by road construction, logging and similar means. Also discussed briefly are Albinson's recollections of areas in St. Paul and Minneapolis: Swede Hollow and the Bohemian Flats, and the St. Croix River area.
