The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam. Coeur d'Alene and Spokane Railway Company, Ltd.

The company was incorporated in 1902 to build a railroad line from Coeur d'Alene (Ida.) to Spokane (Wash.). Its 41 miles of rail line and other properties were conveyed to the Spokane and Inland Empire Railroad Company in 1908, but its corporate existence was maintained until all corporate debt was retired in 1923.
