William F. Davidson and family papers, 1817-1919.

Chiefly the business and personal papers of William F. Davidson, steamboat entrepreneur and real estate and grain elevator owner who made his headquarters in St. Paul (Minn.) and St. Louis (Missouri); those of his son, Edward E. Davidson, who assisted in managing the numerous Davidson firms after his father's death in 1887; and those of his son-in-law, Watson P. Davidson, who owned and managed extensive real estate enterprises in St. Paul, Oregon, and elsewhere in the Middle West and Far West.
