Benjamin F. Beardsley papers, 1897-1928.

Correspondence, clippings, reports, and other papers of Beardsley, an insurance man and secretary of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. Material relating to St. Paul includes a Chamber of Commerce study of streetcar facilities (1903-1904), reports [undated] of the St. Paul Gas and Light Company on a proposed gas franchise, plats of the Woodland Park addition to the city (1897-1906), and proposed Twin Cities exhibits at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (1904). Included also are delegate lists, reports, and correspondence (1902-1905) relating to the Trans-Mississippi Commercial Congress and the National Irrigation Association; and correspondence and clippings (1904) regarding the launching of the Great Northern Steamship Company's vessel, "Dakota."
