Frederick S. Converse collection, 1911-1941.

The first five folders in this collection contain correspondence, biographical materials, programs, writings, and newspaper articles. The four other folders contain photographs. Some of the materials in the first five folders pertain to a few of Converse's compositions including Two lyric pieces, Four Gregorian etudes, Beauty and the beast, Ormazd, The masque of St. Louis, Job, and "Romance" from Scarecrow sketches. In addition to Converse himself, the subjects of the photographs include: Karl Muck, Carl Baermann, Wallace Goodrich, and Converse's operas, The Pipe of Desire and The Sacrifice.
