The collection was created during Anne Sweetnam's years as an employee in the Legislative Engrossing Division. The Legislative Engrossing Division was charged with the preparation and certification of the Final Version of a Bill or Resolve on special parchment before final action was taking by either the House or Senate. This collection consists of photographs, correspondence, and newspaper articles concerning the Engrossing Division's work and employees, a general history of Engrossing in Massachusetts and an Engrossing Division Procedural Guide. Collection includes an audiotape of an oral history by Sweetnam.
