"Adventures of the black girl in her search for God" proofs, 1932.

Illustrated proof (75 p.) dated Nov. 7, 1932 with 'block to come' handwritten on several pages. Bound but lacking cover. This edition was published by Constable and Company in London in 1932. The second item is a collection of impressions of the illustrations by John Farleigh. Each is mounted on a blank loose board, signed by the artist, and dated '1932'. Both items are housed in clamshell box with photo of Shaw mounted on inside cover.
