Israel Trow military papers, 1776-1781.

Accounts, lists of men, muster, billetting, and pay rolls for Capt. Israel Trow's Company in the following units during the Revolutionary War: Col. Jacob French's (1776), Col. Josiah Whitney's (1777), Col. John Hathaway's (1777), Col. John Daggett's (1778), and Col. Isaac Dean's (1780) regiments of the Mass. Militia, primarily drafted for duty in Rhode Island; and Col. Jonathan Ward's (21st Continental) Regiment of the Continental Army (Jan. 1776).

Ten companies comprised the 12th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Militia: five from Boston, one from North Bridgewater, one from Abington, one from Weymouth, one from Stoughton, and one from Gloucester. After organization was completed, the regiment was ordered to Fort Warren in Boston Harbor.
