Victor Fischer Collection, 1954-1976.

The Victor Fischer Collection consists of the review draft manuscript of Fischer's book The Alaska Constitutional Convention, published in 1975, and research materials used in writing the book. The latter include materials from the Constitutional Convention, drafts of the Alaska State Constitution, biographical sketches of convention delegates, a list of sources, and a correspondence file. The collection also includes a scrapbook of clippings and correspondence related to the Alaska Constitutional Convention, and material relating to a constitutional review conference and convention delegates' reunion, both held in October 1976.

Victor Fischer was born in Berlin, Germany in 1924. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1948 and a Master's Degree in Community Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1950. He also received the Littauer Fellowship in public administration from Harvard University (1961-1962).
