Richard and Florence Collins Papers, 1930s-1950s.

The Richard and Florence Collins Papers consist of a collection of 65 loose photographs, most on postcard stock, taken in Alaska ca. 1930s-1950s; photocopies of two photo albums compiled by Richard Collins, documenting his experiences in Slana, Tanacross, Anchorage, Northway, Kobuk, and Lake Minchumina, Alaska, 1942-1951; digital print copies of 287 of the photos from those albums; and digital print copies of 24 color slides of an air trip from Washington, D.C., to Old Crow, Yukon, in 1956. Also included is a photocopy of an album containing prints and letters by Florence (Rucker) Collins of Fairbanks, trips around Alaska and work at the U.S. Geologic Survey.
