Series II. Project Welcome Records, 1972-1977.

These records document the efforts of Project Welcome to aid newly-arrived Puerto Rican immigrants who needed help finding jobs and adequate housing and social services. Included are contracts, reports, correspondence, staff memoranda, financial records, and files of the social service and employment departments. The files also contain materials pertaining to the Council's subcontract with the Pennsylvania state WIN (Work Incentive Program) agency to provide public service jobs in 1974-5.
