Whaling journal : of Charlotte E. Church aboard the A.M. Nicholson (Schooner), 1914 April 23-1915 December 31.

This journal, kept by the wife of the ship's master, describes a journey from New Bedford, Mass., to the Atlantic Ocean banks. In the front is a list of the crew and officers upon leaving New Bedford, 23 April 1914. The journal contains many small and large whale stamps, and also whaleboat stamps (with each boat identified). Mrs. Church wrote clearly and in detail about various aspects of the ship and the voyage including notes on the weather, a drawing of a turtle seen, a list of oil stored, barometer readings, latitude, longitude, and wind force.
