Logbook : of the Florida (Confederate raider) under Lieutenant Charles M. Morris, 1864 January 9-August 13.

This logbook contains daily accounts of the Florida made by crew members while on watch, including location and activities of the ship, weather conditions, repairs made, and activities of the crew. The logbook was written by first lieutenant and executive officer S.W. Averett, lieutenant Samuel Barron, passed midshipman George D. Bryan, passed midshipman Richard S. Floyd, and lieutenant Sardine Graham Stone. The Florida captured and burned the Avon from Boston on 29 March, obtained coal at Martinique on 26 April, went to Bermuda until 1 July where she captured the Harriet Stevens, captured ships off the New England coast, refueled in the Canary Islands on 3 August, and headed to Brazil.
