County Dorset apprenticeship indentures, 1634-1714.

Seventeen indentures bind men to serve John Bull, John Burridge, and others, of Lyme Regis, Dorset, merchants in Maryland and Virginia. With the indentures are 2 documents,1634 and 1678, describing the capture by pirates and ransoming of men bound for Virginia and a notarized document, 1714, by the officers and men of the Friendship claiming damage to the ship and cargo of tobacco was due to storm and not negligence.
