Papers, 1839-1852.

Chiefly personal accounts of merchant William S. Lock of Charles Town, Jefferson County, Va. (now W. Va.), but including accounts and other financial papers of the firms of William S. Lock & Co., and Lock & Hooper. Many of the accounts are with Baltimore, Md., merchants. Also included are articles of agreement, 1848, between Lock and John W. Hooper to form a partnership for the sale of mutton; and two letters, 1850 and 1851, concerning financial arrangements.
