Wed Laura Peterson in 1901, they moved to Chaffee, N.D. in 1906. He rented farmland from Amenia and Sharon Land Company, retiring in 1922. Born at Stockport, N.Y., son of William H. and Catharine A. (Buel) Power. Began working for New York and Erie Railway in 1849, later worked for St. Louis and Pacific Railroad, and Northern Pacific Railway. Wed Helen Amelia Buckhout of Newburgh, N.Y. in 1857. Moved to Waseca County, Minn. in 1857. Purchased 6,000 acres of land near Leonard, N.D. in 1874 and named it Helendale Farm.
