Richard L. McBride served as an elisted man during World War II. McBride was stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland, before being sent overseas to Great Britain. He participated in the campaigns in Northern France, the Rhineland, the Ardennes, and Central Europe until he was wounded. During his service, McBride rose to the rank of staff sergeant.
