[Letter] 1779 juin 14, Paris [to] M. de Sartine. Necker asks Antoine de Sartine, at the time of this letter the head of the Dept. of the Marine, to get protested customs dues at least provisionally collected in Guadeloupe, in the West Indies. -- [Letter] 1789 févr. 4, Versailles [to] M. Rabaud de St. Etienne. Necker thanks St. Etienne for his letter and tells him of the forthcoming announcement concerning the States-General, namely, that any Frenchman may be elected to it. his was of particular importance to St. Etienne as he was a Protestant pastor.
