Papers, 1917-1919.

The collection contains a photocopy of transcripts of letters written to Lucille Sailors Shoemaker by men serving in World War I. The letters were found in a house where Shoemaker lived, and were transcribed by Russell L. Woodward as an Eagle Scout project in 1993. The letters are from five servicemen, including Fremont Keiser, a Marine stationed at Parris Island, S.C.
